Emmanuel: God With Us
As Advent draws to a close, Fr. Skip reflects on the mystery of Emmanuel—God choosing to dwell among us. Through the example of Joseph’s trust and humble obedience, parishioners are invited to open their hearts to God’s plan, even when it challenges expectations. This final week of Advent calls the community to prepare not only homes and schedules, but hearts, renewing confidence that God walks with us in every moment of uncertainty and grace.
The parish joyfully prepares for the Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord with Christmas Pageants in English and Spanish, followed by Christmas Eve Masses at 4:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m., and 10:00 p.m., and Christmas Day Masses at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. (English) and 12:00 p.m. (Spanish). Parishioners are warmly encouraged to invite family, friends, and visitors to celebrate together.
Parish life remains vibrant with music ministry rehearsals, Life Teen gatherings, Baptisms, Healing Prayer Ministry, and Arts & Environment preparations. The community comes together to decorate the church for Christmas, welcoming the season with beauty, service, and shared joy.
Daily opportunities for prayer continue, including the Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet, Eucharistic Adoration, and bilingual devotions. The parish invites all to remain rooted in prayer as the celebration of Christ’s birth approaches. Information on all Sacraments—Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist, Confirmation, Matrimony, Holy Orders, and Anointing of the Sick—remains available through the parish office.
Faith Formation programs, Life Teen, Edge, OCIA, and Young Adult Ministry continue forming disciples of all ages. These ministries remain central to nurturing faith, strengthening families, and preparing future leaders of the Church.
The parish gives thanks for the faithful stewardship of the community. Due to the holiday printing schedule, weekly offertory totals will be reported next week.
